Malwarebytes is a wonderful product however it has some problems that prevent it being a great choice for everyone. It charges more for a single-device subscription than its competitors. Its also not quite as powerful as other brands in terms of features.
Malwarebytes offers multiple layers of security, including web protection as well as ransomware protection. It also provides adware and malware protection and removal and detection. It also offers solid real-world protection capabilities, with results from AV Comparatives tests that consistently rank it among the top software in its class (August 2022 to October 2022).
Paid subscribers have access to all of these features and more. By clicking on the corkscrew located in the bottom right corner on the dashboard lets them manage the settings for the software. The tab includes seven sections where you can alter the program to meet your requirements. These include notifications, the frequency and at what times it is checking for updates to threat intelligence, a number of scan options, as well as other visual preferences, including the theme.
The premium version of the software includes advanced features, such as exploit protection, which helps to stop attacks that exploit bugs and vulnerabilities in systems and applications. Malwarebytes can also detect and block browser lockers, stop in-browser Cryptojackers, and stop other scams that seek to steal data or money from your online account. It also identifies and stop phishing websites. It’s unfortunate that it doesn’t come with the same level of protection against identity theft that some of its competitors offer however, that could change soon since it recently bought Cyrus Security, a company which offers these services.
